My name is Alex V. Priala. I am a master practitioner in Somatic Hypnotherapy, trainer and active member of the National Association of Naturopaths (NA N) with several decades of experience in listening, counseling and helping people to experience positive changes. As a Certified Hypnotherapist in Somatic Hypnotherapy, I have made it my mission to help people improve their life.
In pursuing my vocation, I have spent most of my adult life acquiring the knowledge, training, skills, and experience necessary to become a master practitioner of somatic hypnosis. With a solid scientific background and a university degree in social sciences, I have attended multiple trainings, conferences and seminars related to the Traditional, Intuitive, Ericksonian and Somatic Hypnotherapy, as well as transpersonal and somatic psychology and various holistic approaches to health and well-being.
The most memorable encounters of my career are those with my mentors Edith Acédo and Francine Boisvert, two very generous trainers and respected master practitioners gifted with exceptional intuition and talent. While keeping a constant interest in the spiritual aspects of human nature, I remain an open-minded, well-informed and intellectually curious hypnotherapist who believes in the rigour of scientific methods. I am a passionate and authentic craftsman of health and well-being who sees his role as a hypnotherapist a privilege and a great responsibility. My mission is to help you experience quick and lasting positive changes as you see fit. I love my work and my excellent references bear witness to this.
Somatic Hypnotherapy is a contemporary version of Traditional Hypnotherapy as described by Dr. James Braid in terms of medical approach, updated with the rigor of the most advanced Western scientific models. Somatic Hypnotherapy has successfully integrated and developed into a coherent therapeutic practice various visionary scientific models, notably the Somatic Markers Hypothesis, the concept of Emotional Coherence and the Epigenetic Deterministic Model. The hallmark of Somatic Hypnotherapy is the use of a very particular metaphorical language aimed at triggering a subtle yet very powerful process of neuro-linguistic modulation, a process capable of directly and instantly modulating the somatic component of any unwated emotion or unpleasant sensation that you wish to control.*
During your first session in Somatic Hypnotherapy you will experience profound changes. Throughout your journey, you will have the opportunity to change the emotional reading of your past, as you see fit. You'll have the chance to significantly diminish or to winnow away your toxic emotional feelings, your pains and any other unpleasant feelings. Unlike other therapeutic approaches that promise results that will appear somewhere in the future, with Somatic Hypnotherapy you will ascertain most of your results on the spot, right after your therapy session. The clear vision you will get after eliminating most of the things that have poisoned your life and kept you trapped in your past will help you gain a better overview of the past and foresee the best decision in the future.*
Beyond popularity or academic recognition, the true measure of the effectiveness of any therapeutic approach lies in the results. The predictability of the good results of Somatic Hypnotherapy is an undeniable confirmation of the conceptual coherence of this highly effective approach to health and well-being, as well as a validation of the scientific concepts and models integrated into this practice. Thus, even if Somatic Hypnotherapy is a team work, the principle of "no res ults - no pay" is the ethical guarantor of my work and it applies to all my therapies. In other words, if you won't experience an improvement of your issue at the end of your first therapy session, I won’t accept your money! However, please keep in mind that complex or deeply rooted problems may require more than one therapy session for a complete remission.
Nevertheless, with my approach, you don't run the risk of getting stuck in endless therapy sessions because I very rarely give to a client more than three sessions, whatever the problem to solve. If ever you won't notice at the end of your first therapy session an improvement in the issue you want to solve, it is most likely that this approach is not your therapy of choice and it is not worth pursuing. You will get the most of the healing that this approach can offer to the problem you are experiencing, after a maximum of three therapy sessions. Although many people claim to have been healed by somatic hypnotherapy, I do not heal anyone. Healing is nothing but the self-healing process that we experience when we are delivered from our fears.
All sessions are private, confidential and available by appointment only. Your first therapy session will follow your free-of-charge take-in assessment which is free of charge and takes the first 15 to 30 minutes of our first meeting. Somatic Hypnotherapy sessions are billed at a variable rate based on the complexity of the issues to be treated.
Fees are between 120$ and 160$ for the first session and no more than 120$ for each eventual follow-up session. You can offset your fees with cash donations made to your place of worship.
Please allow 90 to 120 minutes for your first session and 60 to 90 minutes for each follow-up session.
